How To Cut Off Closet Flange For Replacement

CLAUDIA'S TRIUMPH, BUT ... FILM AND THE LAW?

I return to this lowly seat, not just to say hello the nomination of The Milk of Sorrow Oscar, but to draw attention to the urgency of a new film law for our country.

Recently the directors guild was divided. Amid the heated debate Director Inés Agresott, related to the film moved Cusco made a parallel of both projects. I allowed myself to build upon its original text to show you. Here is

VA HOW THE TWO LAWS OF THE FILM?

As we know, there are two bills on film being discussed in the Peruvian Congress:

Bill 3091 introduced by Congressman Johnny Peralta
Bill 3339 Introduced by Congressman Carlos Raffo

For starters, neither voids Bills Film Act that is currently available, both seek to raise more money for Peruvian cinema.

Where would MONEY?
Currently, the vast majority of countries, the theaters pay 10% tax on tickets, but unlike what happens in other countries, here in Peru, the tax is aimed at municipalities and not the body that promotes the national cinema (CONACINE)

PERALTA LAW says that 50% of that money go straight to CONACINE

RAFFO LAW says: disappearance of tax paid to municipalities, and that the money the cinemas of goodwill and for a time, donate 30% to CONACINE. The followers of the Law Raffo, municipalities say that they would never remove the 50% tax and is therefore not viable.

What would be done with it?

PERALTA LAW says is used to produce feature films and shorts, thought the national film archive. What is that?, file all the films and audiovisual achievements of a country, but as a library of movies. Also, training for filmmakers, film Peruvian sent abroad to festivals, exhibitions, and support for festivals in the country, film clubs, shows, etc.. LAW

RAFFO says CONACINE stay the same with their contests and a party to pursue piracy

"
THAT I LIVE IN PROVINCE IN WHICH BENEFIT ME?

PERALTA LAW says, says that "at least" 25% of that money should go to the provinces for training, competitions, performance, exhibitions and all audiovisual activity. LAW

RAFFO cinema exhibitors said that should support the opening of new facilities within the country.

CONTEST BUT CONACINE stay the same?

PERALTA LAW says: Regular competitions to be more open and fair, transparent and jury process suitable for each call, providing more opportunities for young filmmakers. LAW

RAFFO says: It says nothing about this issue.

WHAT KIND OF CINEMA be promoted?

PERALTA LAW says: widespread dissemination of Peruvian films, Latin American and cultural, including short films, in coordination with provincial and district municipalities

RAFFO LAW says: Projections of massive international free zones exhibiting movies. No mention of the short film.

HE WORKED WITH SOME OF THE PRODUCERS, BUT NOT PAID ME, AND GAVE ME ANOTHER tip, I felt exploited

PERALTA LAW says is required to be paid audiovisual workers as any worker, respect for their schedules, which may be secured case of accident or illness. The producers that do not comply, you withdraw the money given by CONACINE. LAW

RAFFO says: It says nothing about this issue.

ARGUMENTS OF THE FOLLOWERS OF THESE PROJECTS:

RAFFO
LAW is a law that truly benefits those who make movies in Peru: the producers.

PERALTA LAW We are all needed in the area of \u200b\u200bfilm, from film making to the exhibits and criticism. LAW

RAFFO
Be pragmatic in Peru. History has shown that we can not have a comprehensive law and that even the current law as it is working properly. PERALTA LAW

Peruvians can have a movie Act like any other country in Latin America and even better, a matter of pushing everyone to the same side.

Both projects are available for download with their respective numbers here of Congress

I am a filmmaker and film buff but I think it's time to reopen the debate. What do you think?
